Karen’s bakery is a gem in the middle of Mill Valley. We are so fortunate to know that she got this business running during Covid and procures some of the most devine baked goods we have ever enjoyed in our entire life! Karen’s scones know no match - just heavenly. And while you are there, grab an olive loaf (if you get there early enough - they sell out!). She’s amazing.

I noticed this shop while walking in the neighborhood and was drawn in by the selection of freshly baked pastries. We shared an English muffin and scone on our walk and devoured both before getting home. I had no idea an English muffin could be so soft, fluffy and flavorful. Adore everything about this place!

Adorable newer bakery that sells out fast! Delicious, crispy chocolate-chip cookies. The owner Karen is just as kind as people say - she had just closed when we walked by but gave us a little baggie of leftover cookies to-go. Generosity like that is not forgotten and is the kinda thing that brings me back the next time I go. Thank you so much, Karen! Ate em all on our way to Stinson Beach. 5 stars!!!

Some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life — and I’ve had a lot! The chocolate croissant was so light and so flaky — unlike the too-heavy or -bready croissants you get most places. Chocolate chip cookies are the same deal — light, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, SO tasty.

You can feel the love and care the team puts into everything they make, and they’re so welcoming every time. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing, the almond croissant is perfectly flaky, and the donuts are a delight. Honestly, everything we tried was just perfect

Drop what you’re doing and go to this bakery!! Everything we got today was so delicious — chocolate chip cookie, blueberry lemon scone, cinnamon roll, chocolate croissant. And it has the sweetest owner who makes everything herself. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I love this place! I would go to Karen again and again for custom baked goods. First of all, whenever I stop by Mill Valley Bakery, Karen is there baking up another incredibly delicious creation. She's always a pleasure to speak with, and she's such a lovely person. I love going into the bakery to talk with her and see what she's created - whatever I get from sweet pastries to savory BLTs on baguettes, it is always on another level of deliciousness and freshness. Karen made a custom order of apple cider cinnamon sugar baked donuts for our wedding this September, and our guests were raving about them. I've had multiple people ask after the wedding where they can get them, and many told me they were the best apple cider donuts they've ever had! I agree, and I grew up in New England so I've tried MANY apple cider donuts in my life and Karen's are better than any I've ever had. Karen is truly talented at what she does, and I couldn't recommend working with her for any special event more highly.

I visited MV Baking Company after seeing great reviews and being in the area. The display featured a variety of tempting baked goods. I particularly enjoyed the lemon kouign amann, beignets filled with raspberry jam, cinnamon roll, pear croissant, and spinach and cheese croissant. I plan to try more items on my next visit. Although it's a small place, the quality of the baked goods reflects the baker's passion. If you intend to visit, it's best to go early; I arrived at 10 am on a Saturday and found many items are almost sold out.

First time trying this amazing bakery—everything was absolutely delicious! Karen was incredibly kind and helpful. Tip: If you’re planning to try it, call ahead. They usually sell out because it’s that good! I was lucky to grab some today. Thanks again, Karen, for all your help—and for all the delicious 🥐 you make. You’re the best!
